The James & Miriam Osborne Slide Archive

This ongoing project endeavors to preserve an archive of nearly seven thousand mounted 35mm slides documenting one family's experience in and around New Orleans during the second half of the twentieth century. Created between 1950 and 2002, James and Miriam Osborne photographed hurricanes, Mardi Gras, raising their three children in Southern Louisiana as well as travel across the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa. The collection is divided into the categories of "family life" and "travel," and will be updated as trays are digitized.
