Art Instruction

As an adjunct professor in fine art photography since 2013, I have had the pleasure of teaching classes in basic & advanced film photography, advanced digital photography and studio lighting. The study of photography is itself a creative process that involves both student and instructor in a sustained interactive conversation. My goal in the classroom is to foster an environment of creative experimentation in which students are challenged with new ideas, encouraged to analyze their motivations for making work, and to pursue new approaches and techniques. In order to accomplish this exchange of teaching and learning across a widely diverse group of students and student needs, I strive for good communication and value the diversity of learning styles.
